Murielle Kabile, striking creations

It's around the corner of rue de l'étoile that we discover Murielle Kabile's workshop, an intimate place halfway between creation and meeting. Murielle offers custom-made clothing made from natural and synthetic hair, unique paintings, daring jewelry, and sublime wigs. We met her in her private showroom. Passionate about sewing and hairstyling since a young age, Murielle quickly pursued studies in both fields. "I noticed that there was a real lack in the curly, frizzy, and kinky hair sector. Then one day I met a stylist for a photoshoot and it was a revelation. I immediately knew that it was what I wanted to do, but I was very disappointed by the disregard of the stylists, so I decided to create the clothes myself and style the models. Thanks to my two diplomas, I had all the skills to succeed." Murielle envisions...then her own concept: garments made from hair.

The young artist starts to merge hair with fabric to create one-of-a-kind pieces in the world. "I made my first hair piece for the Cannes Film Festival and it was a huge media success! Photographers were rushing to take pictures of my creation. I thought to myself, 'this is the chance of a lifetime.' That's how everything started." Exhibitions and fashion shows follow one after another, and Murielle quickly develops her hair creation brand, Big Hair World, as well as her own clothing brand, C'est dans l'hair du temps. "I was the only one offering ready-to-wear collections made from natural and synthetic hair."

So it is in her new workshop in the 8th arrondissement that we can discover her creations and understand all the manufacturing steps. "I regularly collaborate with designers and creators to expand possibilities and do incredible things with hair. My creations are a mix of different cultures and various inspirations that represent me well. But the common thread will always be hair."
