Marguerite Pharmacy: A Family Story Written in the 9th Arrondissement

For the Kara family, pharmacy is above all a family affair. So when Lounis, 31, and his sister Katia, 26, both trained pharmacists, got the opportunity to breathe new life together into a pharmacy that was no longer operating, they didn't hesitate. And while this partnership "came about a bit by chance", thanks to their two distinct personalities, it's with the same smile on their faces and the same enthusiasm that they've injected fresh energy into Pharmacie Marguerite, which they took over in December 2025, in this vibrant neighborhood of the 9th that they're particularly fond of, at the foot of Montmartre.

The return of an authentic neighborhood pharmacy

Within this team of five people, everyone quickly found their place and their footing. « With my sister, we're very different, but we also realized we're actually very complementary in the end », confides Lounis Kara. And this complementarity has paid off ! In just a few months, they managed to make this pharmacy into a true neighborhood pharmacy, where everyone is welcomed with care and kindness, and where a real bond forms between the pharmacist and their patients. « You're wonderful, you find solutions to my problems. See you next time ! » says a customer on her way out, by the way.

An Ever-Growing Selection

While originally only the pharmacy section existed, the two pharmacists have redesigned the space and added a vast parapharmacy area. Klorane, SVR, Caudalie… Dozens of products are available for body, face, and hair, at attractive prices. The goal: «Have it all, to offer a wide variety of products».

And their ambitions don't stop there. In the coming months, they want to allow customers to place online orders, but also develop a more extensive sports range. With more and more athletes, and especially runners joining running clubs around Montmartre hill, the two pharmacists wish
