Deskopolitan: the urban campus that transforms Parisian coworking into a vibrant living space

When you push open the door at 226 boulevard Voltaire, it’s hard to guess you’re stepping into a coworking space. The former Cusenier distillery from the 11th arrondissement, renovated in 2019, feels more like a chic hotel than an open space: industrial glass, a restaurant with an open kitchen, and a reception area that would fit right in at a boutique hotel. And there’s a good reason for that: Deskopolitan has literally built a "city within a city" spanning 6000 m².

Deskopolitan Voltaire Campus: everything under one roof

The Parisian coworking space of Deskopolitan perfectly showcases what sets this brand apart from traditional coworking. Here, you don’t have to leave for lunch, to exercise, to get a haircut, or to pick up your child from daycare: it’s all integrated. You’ll find the restaurant Laïa, run by chefs Stéphanie Moquet and Francesco De Stefano (who took over from Tania Cadeddu from Top Chef), serving breakfast, lunch, and afterwork snacks. Not a single...

enterprise canteen : a true open table for the neighborhood, created by Fuga Family. On the sports side, Episod Fitness features 1000 m² dedicated with 5 studios (yoga, boxing, cycling, bootcamp, athletic training). The sports subscription is separate from the office : you can work elsewhere and come sweat here.

The Kangaroo House, an accredited PMI association daycare (13 spots), solves the impossible equation for freelance parents or those working from home. It's an absolute rarity in the French coworking scene. Meanwhile, Audrey Sly, a passionate hairdresser and barber, cultivates the art of the perfect touch and attentive service. She offers a space that reflects her style: elegant, calm, and designed for taking care of oneself without leaving the office. Not to mention a barbershop, a caring team, and a rooftop vegetable garden... The "work + life" approach is not just a slogan: it's a complete architecture designed so you never have to leave the campus.

Architecture: Exceptional Heritage Rehabilitation

Deskopolitan (founded in 2013 by Alexis Rebiffé and Paul Chevrillon, backed by the Chevrillon Group) chose to rehabilitate an old industrial distillery rather than settle in new towers.

The Voltaire campus in the 11th arrondissement, with its 6,000 square meters opened in 2019, occupies the former distillery.

Cusenier Gallery, reimagined by MoreySmith with Linda Morey-Smith along with the architecture firm Franklin Azzi. Ideally located just 10 minutes from Nation and République, it can accommodate up to 400 workstations. The result? A unique urban campus in Paris, with a strong identity that stands apart from standardized designs.

Pricing and Flexibility: From Nomads to Private Offices

Deskopolitan embraces transparent pricing, which is unusual in the premium coworking space: €7/hour or €42/day for nomads (hotdesk option with no commitment); starting from €620/month for a resident open-space with 24/7 access; from €695/workstation/month for a private office; and meeting rooms starting at €49/person for a Smart Day (all-inclusive).

The clientele? Freelancers who appreciate the restaurant and sports package, tech SMEs (Ubisoft, NFON), scaling startups, corporate project teams, and business travelers. The campaign headquarters of Benoît Hamon even set up here in 2017.

The opposite bet of Morning and WeWork

While Morning (the leading French company with around 50 locations, a subsidiary of Nexity, certified B Corp) is expanding its sites in Paris and focusing on a broad network (Hôtel de la Marine, Tour Montparnasse, Trévise...) with prices ranging from €305 to €1,150 per month depending on the location, and WeWork (600 spaces, 125 cities, emerging from bankruptcy in June 2024) is going for global scaling with its All Access, Deskopolitan has chosen the opposite: a super-premium XXL urban campus rather than 50 points of presence.

The argument? A complete ecosystem (with an office, restaurant, sports, daycare, and hairdresser) over 6000 m² is better than just a well-located open space. Coworking is becoming a way of life, not just a flexible office rental.

A model that sets the standard?

With its unique location in Paris, Deskopolitan confirms its strategy: providing a density of services rather than multiplying addresses. After opening a site in Pasteur (15th arrondissement, 2500 m², privatized for a single company) and closing its Château d’Eau space, the brand is focusing its public offering on its Voltaire campus.

Between the isolation of remote work and the fatigue of enforced flex-office setups, Parisians are in search of a third place. Deskopolitan has created its own by betting on the model of a fully integrated urban campus. It’s the bet of a coworking space that feels more like a private club than a shared office.
