The Editor

If originally, sailor shirts, overalls, smocks, and other work jackets were exclusively used as professional clothing, today they have become true fashion pieces for both old and new generations. At A L'O 1905, you will find authentic brands offering quality garments such as Vétra (1927), the reference brand for French workwear, Danton (1935), known in Paris for supplying the Paris metro and the city hall, as well as Le Glazik and Orcival. The store may have changed its address, but it hasn't changed its family. Bought in the early 1990s by Patrick Beerens, it reinvents itself 30 years later to offer everyday and contemporary clothes for men, women, and children. A L'OUVRIER is the oldest workwear brand in Paris and is now being reborn within an iconic and modern retail space.

When you enter the concept store, you will immediately be struck by the character and authenticity of the place: furniture from the Vétra factory, stone columns, wooden racks, an old sewing table... an atmosphere that reflects the brand and the clothes you will find there.

The selection is based on timeless and contemporary clothing, with a strong identity. From Le Glazik's Breton pea coats to Vétra's moleskin jackets, Danton's fleeces, or Orcival's Marine Nationale striped shirts... Each piece embodies the spirit of French workwear, whether on the sea or on land.

The brands you will find here are all managed by family-owned factories, founded by entrepreneurs committed to providing the best quality products for workers or sailors. Their DNA: beautiful products designed to last, with a true expertise from historical brands, all made in France &agra.ve; through an inimitable century-old story.
