Like every year, the month of December brings a deep transformation of the capital into a giant Christmas ball. Lights everywhere, markets galore, and even a touch of snow! For over 20 years, the Centre des monuments nationaux (CMN) has been part of this amazing change with its event « Tales and Stories », which gives some of the most beautiful monuments in the country a festive touch. But what surprises are in store for us this year at the Parisian sites?
A magical winter in the streets of Paris
In the heart of the City of Light — which wears this nickname beautifully during this time of year — you’ll find absolutely stunning sites opening their doors for all kinds of festivities. At the Panthéon, for example, you dive into a world of enchantment.
in the universe of Aimé Césaire through a stroll filled with all kinds of light effects. We then head down to the Seine to reach the Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie, where the Middle Ages come to life before our amazed eyes. On the agenda: video shows and theatrical tours. At the Arc de Triomphe, both young and old can delight in shadow puppet visits and writing workshops. Finally, the Hôtel de la Marine will dazzle you with jewelry-making workshops and a magnificent New Year's ball!Voir cette publication sur Instagram
The Magic at the Doorstep of the Capital
And hold on, the Paris suburbs won’t be left out, with a number of events happening in breathtaking monuments. We begin with the Basilica of Saint-Denis, which will bring medieval fables to life in a storytelling show. Over at the Castle of Vincennes, both young and old can join in a fun decor hunt and learn about the art of stained glass. At the Domaine de Saint-Cloud, tales from distant lands will take center stage, allowing us to travel to far-off places. A bit further on, the Château de Champs-sur-Marne will whisk you away to the land of fairy tales, where you can test your knowledge of the wonderful characters from your childhood. A non-exhaustive list...
heaps of all the joys you can be part of until January 4th !
