Advocate for urban swimming with the Experimental Urban Swimming Laboratory
The collective has been advocating for the authorization of swimming in some canals and basins in Paris for several years. Their method? Taking a dip where it's prohibited: the Seine or the Canal de l'Ourcq, the fountains... The success of their method is evident as the Paris City Hall has recently launched the Swim in Paris plan and plans to open the Lac Da... for swimming.In 2019, umesnil in...! Swimming just a short distance from Paris
You know about Paris-Plages and you avoid it, fair enough. But did you know that other cities near Paris also have their own beaches, less crowded than in the capital but just as refreshing? The Bois-le-Roi leisure center, for example, with its 73 hectares, 8 of which are dedicated to a lake, or the one in Cergy-Pontoise, just 30 km from Paris... Like the Laboratory of Experimental Urban Swimming, Blueparallax is a group of friends passionate about free diving, who advocate for the cleanliness of Parisian water. These swimmers in troubled waters organize sessions of urban swimming in the most surprising spots of Paris: Trocadéro, the Palais de Tokyo... But be careful, everything is planned well in advance, so kids, these wet games should not be replicated at home. Okay, it's not a swimming pool, far from it, but for the laziest ones, Place de la République has installed super misters, as well as its now famous water mirror. And believe it or not, if you stay there for a little while, the effect will be the same as after a good big dive, without the effort.
