It's the tradition, the one we eagerly await, the one that allows us to create memorable memories. For 18 years, Summer of the Canal has been the rhythm of our summer, and this year will be no exception. From July 5 to August 10, 2025, the famous festival is making its grand return to Paris and Seine-Saint-Denis, offering you a ton of exceptional activities and leisure options at great prices. How does that sound?

Two brand new additions to the program

And to celebrate this "coming of age," the Summer of the Canal is going all out. Really out! For this occasion, there aren't just one, but two new features making their way into the already rich and eclectic program of this leisure festival.

The first will mark the kickoff of the festivities on Saturday, July 5, 2025: with "Canal en pagaies, you’ll have the opportunity to navigate the Ourcq canal on a delightful 10-kilometer route between Sevran and Pantin, whether it’s by canoe, kayak, or even paddleboard. Yes, that’s right! Open to the public, this event is accessible to everyone, with or without equipment, as rentals will be available.

The second novelty of this 18th edition will take us from the waters back to solid ground. On Sunday, July 20, 2025, get ready for the "Great Olympic Heritage Walk", a cultural hike of 15 kilometers. Starting from the Parc de la Villette, this walk will immerse you for a few hours into the atmosphere of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, allowing you to rediscover the most iconic sites where the sporting events took place. Completely free of charge, this hike is open to everyone, regardless of their fitness level.

The traditional activities of the Summer by the Canal are back

Of course, the...The Canal Summer wouldn't be the same without its iconic events and activities every weekend. Don’t worry, they're definitely back! Of course, there will be theater shows, circus performances, and even dance, but also creative workshops and cultural walks that will let you rediscover your region from a fresh perspective. There will also be celebrations with parks and barges where the festive atmosphere will be in full swing!

And because the Canal Summer focuses on water activities, the themed cruises will also be back in action. Whether you're a music lover, a foodie, a street art enthusiast, or a local heritage buff, whatever your taste or interests, these different getaways on the water are sure to delight you. To fully enjoy the festival, the river shuttles will take you from Paris to Pantin, Bobigny, Bondy, or even Aulnay-sous-Bois. Are you coming?
