Hot on the Heels: An Erotic Illustration Market on the Little Belt Railway

The annual cheeky celebration finally announces its return on the Petite Ceinture tracks ! On October 3rd and 4th, the Market of Impertinent Illustration is back at Hasard Ludique for its 9th edition. The concept ? Over two days, we dive deep into how bodies are represented, through a selection of artists, illustrators and collectives here to celebrate all genders and all sexualities, always with a sprinkle of humor, boldness and mischief. Just what you need to heat things up as autumn begins.

And because inhabiting your body is sometimes a political act, Hasard Ludique made sure to add to its program discussions to reclaim our intimate stories. While the bodies of women, people of color, fat people, queer and disabled individuals are often reduced to fantasies, stereotypes, or objects of consumption, many artists, illustrators, and activists are now reinventing representations of the body, eroticism, and desire for more inclusive, tender, and free narratives. These are precisely the themes that will be explored during the panel discussion "Drawing What We've Been Taught to Hide: When Art and Illustration Free Our Bodies," a lively discussion running alongside the market, enriched by personal experiences, anecdotes, and exchanges with the audience. 

A whole bunch of booty-tivities 

But that's (obviously) not all! During this steamy weekend, theThe artist Wawi Abdel Kader offers us a unique photographic exploration. A participatory session, designed to counter the fetishization and objectification of the body, by creating a space of spiritual safety. A kind of sanctuary, where participants are invited to step away from the outside gaze in order to reclaim their own narrative.

We're turning up the heat again, this time with the sex-positive fun of the Fet'Show by Maison Furieuse. A glamorous, decadent and queer show that explores the many ways to experience intimacy, power, consent and pleasure, with performers who embrace cabaret codes, performance art and fetish culture. Then to cap off this scorching colorful program, the NU.E.S collective presents When the Snow Melts Between My Thighs, a show that brings together five queer performers on stage, embarking on a simultaneous exploration of their eroticism.
