Ranked as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the town of Provins offers you, as every year, the opportunity to take part in a unique event. For two extraordinary evenings, the medieval city transforms into a luminous city, taking you on a journey through the ages. And one thing is certain, you will not be disappointed with the journey. ### A Thousand and One Candles A true medieval gem, Provins shines throughout France thanks to its extraordinary activities and animations that bring the city to life all year round. And, like every summer, one of the highlights makes its grand return: The Glows of Time. During 2 evenings in July, the city transforms with spectacular shows and animations, and especially pyrotechnic activities. Indeed, on July 6th and 20th, the Caesar Tower, dating back to the 12th century, is illuminated by the light of over 700 candles. A simply magical spectacle, which you can enjoy to the sound of period music played live. On the 6th, Cécile and her fabulous Celtic harp will enchant your ears, before being followed by Lucie and her magical handpan on the 20th.

To stay in the theme of flames, you can also enjoy an unprecedented equestrian show: "Crins de Feu". Fire horses will stroll in the moats of the city walls, enchanting you with acrobatics and stunts. A show that will dazzle both children and adults, literally and figuratively.

Dozens of activities

In addition to these nighttime activities, Lueurs du temps also offers animations (some of which are free) throughout the day. Hunting horn fanfares, medieval dance classes, musical performances featuring jazz, juggling shows, themed and theatrical tours, candlelit romantic dinners, there is something for everyone's taste.

And on July 20th, to celebrate the passage of the Olympic flame through the city during the day, Provins gets into sports mode. You can enjoy the guided tour "Sports and Leisure in the Middle Ages", as well as distributing torches, 5 activity areas dedicated to sports, and sessions of yoga, breakdance, skateboarding… So, are you ready to go back in time to the era of knights?
