A magical trail of 1000 lanterns will light up the Floral Park starting in November

Just like every year, when autumn settles into the capital, Parc Floral trades its Parisian garden charm for an enchanted world. From November 14, 2026 to January 24, 2027, L'Odyssée Lumineuse returns with a completely redesigned route, thousands of lights, fantastical creatures, and an all-new aquatic wonderland on the lake.

Come November, as night falls, the Floral Park transforms completely into a magical wonderland. For this brand new Parisian edition of The Luminous Odyssey, nearly 1000 lanterns and light installations invite visitors to wander through a fairytale world, complete with monumental creations, immersive universes and glowing scenes. A winter stroll that's sure to make both young and old eyes light up.


A luminous journey between enchantment and biodiversity

It's hard not to get swept up by this impressive installation. Along the route, no fewer than 8 kilometres of silk in all the colours of the rainbow, 26 tonnes of metal and some 25,000 LED bulbs bring the lanterns to life. To create these works of art, 40 craftspeople took part in their making, including a giant sculpture that can reach up to 20 metres long.

But behind the magic, The Luminous Odyssey carries a deeper message. The exhibition aims to raise visitors' awareness of biodiversity and endangered species. Along the route, you'll encounter several animals on the brink of extinction, from the Malaysian tapir to the mandrill monkey, passing by tigers and even the giant Galápagos tortoise. A rather spectacular way to remind us that these extraordinary creatures deserve our full attention too. And because a fairy-tale journey wouldn't be complete without a touch of celestial magic, the northern lights come to illuminate the exhibition sky throughout the evening. 


Shadow puppetry and luminous fountains

This year, the route also has a few surprises in store. Each evening, visitors will be able to discover a

show of Chinese shadows signed by Les Black Fingers, a French duo renowned for their mastery of shadowgraphy, that delicate art of creating silhouettes and characters using only your hands. A poetic, visual and frankly magical interlude to discover as you stroll along.

But the big highlight of this 2026 edition is taking place on the water: the Fairy Tale of Luminous Fountains is setting up directly on the lake in Parc Floral. This new aquatic and light show promises to become one of the evening's highlights, with a staging that blends water, light, and movement.
