We usually like to hang out by the canal de l’Ourcq alone or with friends after a long workday or during the weekend. This year, there's a twist: we’re going to sail on the canal. To celebrate the opening of the 18th edition of L’Été du Canal happening from July 5 to August 10, a big event between Sevran and Pantin will be open to the public on Saturday, July 5, 2025. By kayak, canoe, or paddle… you get to pick the craft that suits you best for this special afternoon.

Ten kilometers to paddle on the canal
Get your paddles ready! Starting at 2:30 PM on July 5th, the Ourcq canal will come alive with kayaks and other watercraft. Each participant will paddle 10 kilometers along the canal. This event is even more special because it’s the first time it's included in the programming of L'Été du Canal, and normally, the Ourcq canal is exclusively reserved for boats.
Accessible kayak outings all summer in Île-de-France
July 5th won’t be the only day you can try out a kayaking session on the Ourcq. Throughout the summer, the Canoe Club of Sevran (Ourcq Can'ohe club sevranai) will offer you plenty of opportunities!
s) generally offers single or double canoe rentals to enjoy a fun kayaking adventure on the canal. In Île-de-France, you can also paddle on the Marne. Thanks to the canoe-kayak club in Neuilly-sur-Marne or the one in Noisy-le-Grand, you can set off to explore the wildlife and flora of the region with guided outings.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
