Napoleon: A character as controversial as he is fascinating
After its great success in Brussels and internationally, the experience “Napoleon, the Immersive Epic” is back in the capital for a special new edition. Since the end of August, the new Poste du Louvre has been hosting this historical adventure in virtual reality crafted by the Sandora studio.
Blending museum and cinema, it offers a unique sensory exploration: with a VR headset on, visitors journey through more than ten iconic scenes from the Napoleonic era across three grand acts. « The goal: to spread culture to as many people as possible through virtual reality», the creators explain.

A Dive into the Heart of the First Empire
For about 30 minutes, with a headset firmly on, visitors become part of History. The experience, both immersive and collective, transports up to ten participants into a spectacular recreation of the First Empire, featuring battles, triumphs, and exile to Saint Helena. You’ll traverse the Alps, soar over the Vendôme column, startle on the battlefields, and witness the legend being built… and cracking apart.

After a year of dedicated work in close collaboration with a scientific committee made up of historians from the Napoleon Foundation and the Museum of the Legion of Honor, this production blends historical accuracy with cinematic emotion. Over 30 collaborators contributed to its creation, including motion capture actors, to provide a breathtaking realism of imperial Paris.
When History Meets Technology
Equipped with cutting-edge technology HTC Vive Focus 3, visitors can roam freely in a 50 m² space, surrounded by fellow explorers of the past. The experience, at...a playful and educational experience, aimed at everyone — from age 8 and up — and promises to breathe new life into the History of France from a modern perspective, blending art, culture, and entertainment.
