The British site money.co.uk has just published a study revealing which is the calmest destination in Europe, among 23 cities analyzed. Head to the other side of the Rhine, just 4 hours by train from the capital.

A city in Germany crowned the calmest on the continent
The happy winner is Düsseldorf. Blending modernity and vibrancy, industrial charm and artistic flair, while being particularly serene, this city in Western Germany, with its 640,000 residents, stands out as a top choice for those looking to combine tranquility and discoveries. Several criteria were considered to set Düsseldorf apart from the 23 other cities in the running: traffic congestion, road and rail transport, as well as population density.

You can enjoy many cultural establishments, like the Düsseldorf Opera or art museums such as the Kunsthall, Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, or the Museum Kunstpalast. Its old town, Altstadt, is home to a plethora of friendly breweries, earning it the nickname of the "longest bar in the world." The city is also notably known for being particularly well-connected in terms of transport.
