The temperatures are already starting to drop in the capital, much to the delight of those who are eager for the autumn season and the end-of-year celebrations. So if you’re part of this team, here’s some good news to help you patiently wait. After the Grand Palais ice rink, another must-visit skating spot in the capital has announced its reopening for 2025.

A spectacular setting

This week, as the department stores get ready to unveil their Christmas displays one by one, one of them has a double surprise for you, with the reopening of its magical ice rink. Indeed, starting on December 1st, head to the Galeries Lafayette to enjoy a breathtaking setting. On the agenda: 160 m² of smooth gliding to nail your best triple axels and impress your friends, all while soaking in the absolutely stunning view of the rooftops of the capital. From 10:30 AM to 7 PM (starting at 11:30 AM on Sundays), every day, both young and old are invited to lace up their skates for a unique experience. And for an optimal experience, we recommend that you book your time slot now!

A Magical Christmas at Galeries Lafayette

Just a reminder, this year, the Galeries Lafayette will unveil their brand new window displays on Wednesday, November 12. For this special occasion, the store will transform into a wonderful Christmas tale throughout the holiday season. With a simple goal of taking us back to childhood, illustrator Jeanne Detallante has created a magical world that draws us into the heart of Santa Claus's workshop. The end of the year will also be the perfect time to discover the new XXL Christmas tree that will take over the department store this year (16 meters tall, 560 kg of ribbons, and 8 km of LED garlands), beautifully adorned with illustrations by Jeanne Detallante.
