Winter isn’t always easy to handle, we know that. It’s gray, cold, ugly, dark. But thankfully, there are still a few wonderful things that brighten our spirits. Raclette, hot wine, fondue, gingerbread men, roasted Mont d’or. And once we’ve enjoyed a delicious feast, it’s time to get moving at one of the many ice rinks in the capital. After the huge ice rink located under the glass roof of the Grand Palais, we have another XXL playground to introduce to you, this time outdoors.

450 m² of pure fun

For the past few days, the ice rinks have been popping up one after the other on the streets of Paris. And d&Next weekend, something new might just join the list, and it's not to be missed. To check it out, head to the André-Citroën Park in the 15th arrondissement, famous for housing the giant balloon that measures air quality in the capital. On December 14th, doors will open to a new giant滑滑滑场.

In the middle of this green space, you'll have the chance to discover a huge 450 m² enclosure where you can unleash your as well as your creative side by trying to pull off your coolest pirouettes, twirls, and other triple axels. All of this on real ice, which welcomes you every day from the early morning until happy hour, as reservations will be open from 11 AM to 9 PM.

A Bit of a Magical Place

On-site, you can replay scenes from the greatest cheesy Christmas romantic comedies. Imagine two strangers meeting on the ice, laughing as they find themselves on the ground right under the huge Christmas tree, while the Christmas choir and other end-of-year festivities unfold around them.

It's going great. With a bit of luck, it starts to snow right at that moment, and the picture is perfect.

Our two lovebirds are off to enjoy some delicious mulled wine or a little hot chocolate topped with a mountain of whipped cream thanks to the cozy chalet right next to the ice rink, provided by Patins en folie. We’ll also stop by for a crepe or waffle to share (or not), and then it’s back on the ice to enjoy the lights and music that come alive when night falls. What a schedule!
