The sun is shining, and spring is getting ready to knock on our door, which means two things: it’s time for a big spring cleaning in your apartment, and to discover new little treasures that will brighten up your home. Lucky for us, from March 7th to 16th, the Chatou Fair is back for its 108th edition. It's the perfect opportunity to enjoy the sunny Impressionists' Island while finding fabulous art pieces.

Over 300 professionals on site

Whether you’re a collector, a flea market enthusiast, or just looking for a stroll somewhere other than the Parisian parks… the Chatou Fair is the must-visit event. For over a week, more than 300 exhibitors will be there to offer you unique items: furniture, silverware, paintings, books—there’s something for everyone’s taste! Here’s where you might stumble upon a centerpiece from the early 20th century, a 1930s chest of drawers, or even some royal horologist pieces. And of course, you’ll be able to enjoy some refreshments on site. Various specialties and local products will be featured: ham, foie gras, oysters, honey, and more!

A historic fair in France

If you weren’t already convinced, here’s a new reason: this fair is a must-visit event as it is the oldest in France. Its history actually goes back to the Middle Ages when it was called the "Ham Fair," dedicated to the charcuterie tradition. Over the decades, it has moved to different locations in the capital, and various merchant stalls have joined in. Since the 1970s, it has been located on the Isle of the Impressionists, showcasing art from all over the world twice a year. So, you know what your next weekend activity is, and the icing on the cake is that the Chatou Fair is only 15 minutes from Paris by RER!
