Nestled between Parc Monceau and Batignolles, right in the heart of Rue Legendre, a 10,000 m2 living space has just opened its doors. I’ve named it La Fondation, the new spot that will blow you away with its offerings, including a 5-star hotel, two restaurants, a panoramic rooftop, an office space with suspended gardens, a gym featuring a climbing wall, a semi-Olympic swimming pool, and so much more. Let’s take a tour of this one-of-a-kind place!
An Architectural Gem by Roman & Williams
Behind the bold façade of La Fondation, blending wood, black metal, and large bay windows, lies a 10,000 m2 treasure designed by Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch, the stars from the New York studio Roman & Williams. This duo brings a mix of industrial and botanical elements, rough and poetic vibes. It’s even a bit brutalist, with a concrete spiral ramp that winds like a playful serpent.
an arty rise from an old parking lot. All with a vibrantly lively touch, featuring plant-covered walls, lush terraces, and hanging gardens… In short, a true haven of peace in the heart of Paris, eco-friendly and utterly desirable.
Dishes that are good for the soul and a breathtaking panoramic view
The Foundation is also a dream destination for food lovers, boasting two restaurants and a rooftop brought to life by the talents of Chef Thomas Rossi. On the ground floor, the brasserie La Base warmly welcomes you with a street-side terrace and a fresh and local menu. Here, French culinary classics are reimagined with organic and seasonal products, ranging from beef tartare with confit egg yolks and brioche to crispy poultry with supreme sauce, not to mention the Roscoff onion tart with thyme cream.

Next, we head up to the 8th floor for a bistronomic atmosphere featuring the second restaurant in the venue. On the agenda: a breathtaking view, a design decor that's truly aspirational, and a cozy terrace (heated in winter by a fireplace). And for night owls, let’s meet on the 10th at the rooftop with a panoramic view of all Paris, from the Eiffel Tower to the Sacré-Cœur, to sip signature cocktails, share delicious plates, and gather around the large fire pit. These two spaces aren't open yet, but don’t worry, Bonbecs, it won’t be long! La Fondation will soon be the hot spot for all you foodies in the capital.
Sports, spa, and fresh juices: the urban paradise of self-care
Looking to get active or just relax? La Fondation has got you covered. Its brand-new sports club – open to guests staying at the 5-star hotel.s (58 rooms including 3 suites) just like subscribers – lined up with high-tech equipment, a variety of classes galore (dance, Pilates, yoga, boxing...), a state-of-the-art gym, and the star of the show, a 9-meter high climbing wall under a big, bright glass roof.
Next up is the wellness area, which offers a semi-Olympic swimming pool (25 meters), two hammams, two saunas, and a cozy spa where you can indulge in premium treatments provided by two French brands: Typology and Ho Karan. And to wrap it all up beautifully? A quick stop at the juice bar for a multivitamin shot. Cheers to health!
