Feeling like exploring new flavors and making wonderful connections? Join us on October 4th at boulvard Auguste Blanqui for the RICE MARKET, an event that will take you on a journey without leaving Paris, in celebration of the Moon Festival. Born from the collaboration between the 13th district town hall, the Entreprises 13 association, and Guang Hua Cultural and Media Company, this unique market offers a delightful blend of street food and cultural activities to help Parisians rediscover the richness and beauty of Asian countries.
Asian street food takes center stage
Becoming a major autumn event in the 13th, the RICE MARKET showcases Asian cuisine by bringing together nearly 45 restaurateurs on the boulevard Auguste Blanqui market. From noon, get ready for a culinary journey through ten Asian countries, featuring delicious specialties: barbecues, Chinese pancakes, banh mi, homemade grilled dumplings, malatang, Vietnamese coffee, momos, and Japanese tacos.
is, fried rice, veggie delights… From Cambodia to China, and through Japan, Thailand, and even Korea, you’ll see a rainbow of colors and, most importantly, a feast of flavors!
This year again, Tang Frères sponsors the Rice Market, evoking childhood flavors and today's emotions. On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the brand presents a new collection of mooncakes that beautifully blends tradition and creativity. In the collection, you'll find classic flavors like lotus and red bean, along with more unique recipes such as mango-pomelo and taro-coconut… Each mooncake is an invitation to nostalgia and sharing.
An Enriched Cultural Program
This year, the program will be even more extensive, as in addition to delighting our taste buds, the RICE MARKET aims to invite around fifteen associations and artists from the Asian cultural scene, offering us even more activities than in previous editions. What can you expect? Concerts, DJ sets, performances, readings… In short, everything you need to liven up the neighborhood all day long!
The event becomes a true showcase for the young Asian generation, blending creativity, sharing, and cultural pride. Throughout the entire day on October 4th, there will be an amazing chili pepper competition, makeup workshops inspired by the Yingge Chinese dance, traditional costume try-ons… And there will be lots of stands, including those from the House of Indonesia, the Chinese bookstore Wulolife, the independent publishing house Fad Jong, the decoration shop Kim Thanh, Joie et Moi with its handcrafted Chinese jewelry, Matoo Corps with its Pokémon cards, and Aurélie Fiolet with her dozens of origami creations. It’s sure to transform the market into a real celebration!
