At the Heart of Tradition
For 2 months, you will have the opportunity to follow Yule, a young apprentice, as you explore the unique world of the old man with the white beard. But before sharing more about this true adventure, let’s have a little history lesson. Because Yule is not just a random name. In Scandinavian and Germanic mythologies, this word refers to the period of the solstice.

The story begins in the shop of an old seamstress, Uldra, where the young Solange Papillot seeks help to repair a valuable piece of jewelry. Upon seeing it, the one nicknamed "the witch" understands who she is dealing with and begins to tell the story of a dear friend of her parents: Yule. A tale that gradually transports us into the fantastical universe of this young apprentice who will soon become Santa Claus, a world filled with witches, magical cabinets, and gifts! From the toy shop of the old Hazelius to the post office at the edge of the pole, passing through Balthazar Papillot's candy shop, we witness the birth of a myth almost 200 years old.
An immersive play in a fairy-tale setting
But .Attention, here, far from being just simple spectators, the Grand Hôtel des Rêves invites you to explore every nook and cranny of the old Le Brun hotel, now taken over by the production company Polaris, through an immersive play where actors love to engage with the audience. As the story unfolds, the characters invite you to move from room to room, revealing one after another the secrets of this legend.
