You're the sporty one in the group, while all your friends are super into art, and it's such a struggle to get them to leave the museums in Paris, even when the sun is shining? We might have a solution for you: why not suggest they explore the GR "La Seine impressionniste", which will take you in the footsteps of Monet, Sisley, Renoir, Corot, and even Seurat.

Soaking Up Some Vitamin D

The beautiful days are here, and all we want to do is make the most of it. To do that, any way works: picnics in the most beautiful parks in Paris, trips to the châteaux near Paris that are all unique, fun open-air events, or a little hike to discover the most beautiful trails in the region. And even though we know our loyal readers would be pr&... Come follow us to the ends of the earth, but we still suggest you stick to the local area with this lovely stroll along the Seine, to stretch your legs, escape the hustle and bustle of the city, and learn more about one of the greatest artistic movements in history (in all objectivity, of course).

An 8-Step Journey

To discover this beautiful walk that allows you to enjoy nature and the freshness of the water, head to the Chatou station, which is (great news!) only 30 minutes from Châtelet on the RER A! This kicks off a delightful stroll of 138.2 km, and we’re counting on you to complete it in one go like an ultra-trail runner, with just 2 hours of sleep each night.

No, seriously, while the full journey is quite long, it is fortunately divided into 8 stages, each representing between 15 and 22 km of walking, which makes for a good day’s adventure.

, taking you systematically from one station to another, to make your arrivals and departures easier. You will be able to enjoy nearly ten walks by the water, discovering absolutely stunning landscapes that have inspired some of the greatest painters in the world. And the good news is that you’ll have at least enough to fill 8 of your upcoming weekends…

To find all the information about the trail, head over to the French Hiking Federation's site (aka the FFR, for friends). Come on, grab your sneakers, your paintbrushes, and let's meet between Conflans-Fin-d'Oise and Triel-sur-Seine ?
