On May 29, 30, and 31, the Paris Opera invites you to take part in an exceptional sale featuring more than 5,000 iconic pieces from the institution's collections. There will be costumes worn on stage throughout various productions, with some available starting at just €2!

Every season, around 4,500 costumes are made in the workshops of the Opéra Bastille and the Palais Garnier, to meet the needs of ever more exceptional shows. That's a considerable amount, which inevitably leads to a bit of accumulation over the years. So much so that the institution now stores no less than 300,000 costume items from its repertoire, of which it has decided to part with a portion...


Exceptional pieces available at unbeatable prices

For this one-of-a-kind sale, the Opéra invites you from May 29 to 31, at its Bastille site, to discover some costumes...

With exceptional quality, drawn from creations like Eugène Onéguine (Willy Decker), Romeo and Juliet (Robert Carsen), Eliogabalo (Thomas Jolly), The Gallant Indies (Andrei Serban), The Merry Widow (Jorge Lavelli), or Samson and Delilah (Damiano Michieletto) for the operas, and also AIR (Saburo Teshigawara), Coppélia (Piere Lacotte), Psyche (Alexei Ratmansky), or Siddharta (Angelin Preljocaj) for the ballets. Costumes ranging from crinoline dresses to Roman breastplates, including straw hats and even fake torsos with tattooed arms (yes, yes!). And the cherry on top, there will be something for every budget, since the pieces…will be on sale for between 2 and 800€.


A slot you won't want to miss!

If you'd like to join the event and give these well-deserved garments a second life that were worn by the greats, please note that access will be by reservation only, and the price of the bi...Let’s rise to €10! In total, there are 9 time slots available for you : on Friday May 29 from 5 PM to 7 PM, or on Saturday and Sunday May 30 and 31 during one of the following times : from 10 AM to 11:30 AM, from 12 PM to 1:30 PM, from 3 PM to 4:30 PM, and from 5 PM to 7 PM. And don’t worry if you can only make it during the last slot, there will be continuous restocking throughout the weekend to ensure the quality of the items offered during the sale.
