We Parisians are truly incredibly lucky. Not only do we live in the most beautiful city in the world, but our region is also one of the prettiest in France. There are chateaux galore, wonderfully unique museums, and especially charming paths for walking or biking, all cuter than the last. After introducing you to the most floral hike in the region and the most peaceful, we now invite you to discover the coolest of them all. And it's happening at Vaux-de-Cernay.
A Bit of History
Hiking enthusiasts or Sunday walkers, join us for a new loop of about ten km to explore Vaux-le-Cernay and its surroundings. To kick off this journey far from the stifling heat of the capital,
heading to the Yvelines. You have two options: take the car, or the RER B to Saint-Rémy-les-Chevreuses, then catch a bus to the Vaux-le-Cernay abbey. Because yes, there’s no time to waste, your starting point will be a monument (literally) of the region. While access to the renovated part of the building is unfortunately paid (and we even recommend their Hogwarts-worthy brunch), the gardens and ruins are freely and freely accessible. Perfect to stretch your legs before fully enjoying the coolness.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
Freshness Above All
Once this historical interlude is closed, we head towards the Vaux pond following the Ru. Upon arrival, we discover an absolutely idyllic setting, just perfect for a picnic in the shade by the water. Around the pond, the waterfalls multiply in charming little gorges, and to top it all off, we're even allowed to dip our toes !

For even more freshness, we then head towards the quarries of the Maréchaux while crossing a part of the Rambouillet forest (freshness, we told you). It's an extremely calm haven of peace, where sandstone reigns supreme. We finally take the trail for hiking that leads us to the heights, offering a breathtaking view of the abbey, its pond, and the surrounding area. Such joy!
