For its fourth edition, the Fête de Paris is back to settle down near the Luxembourg Garden. Completely free, this event open to everyone invites us to celebrate friendliness, culture, and above all, our beloved city. Having welcomed 58,000 people last year, the event expects more than 80,000 curious visitors this year to celebrate the anniversary of the Boulevard du Crime.
A 100% Immersive Journey Through Time
At the heart of the event will be the Temporary Village divided into four thematic boroughs. You can stroll from the Halles of Lutèce with its medieval tavern to the Faubourg des Trente Glorieuses, where you can enjoy a drink and dance with friends. For this 2026 edition, the event is sponsored by director Muriel Mayette-Holtz and illuminated by the voice of honorary Parisian: Founé Diarra.
The red thread will plunge us directly into 1876, in the mythical era of the "Boulevard du Crime", celebrating open-air popular theater for the simple joy of laughing and vibing together. You can indeed enjoy numerous performances throughout the event, ranging from music, dance, theater, to ventriloquism and open stage. And between strolls among the 60 local artisans in the village, you simply must indulge in the stands offering local and committed food. Try a sourdough croque monsieur from the Paris Bakery School, bio fries in the "Pont Neuf" style, and also absolutely delicious homemade crêpes… You’ll know where to find us there!

Historical parade, guinguette, and retro ball: highlights you can't miss
When we talk about a popular festival, the word festival means a lot. Of course, music will resonate in the streets of Paris all weekend, but as soon as night falls, the lights will come alive...ur make way for the orchestra swing "Pièce Montée", followed by a DJ electro set by Jockey Tricolore, bringing back the history of Paris through music.
On Sunday, get ready to feast your eyes on the Grand Historical Parade featuring a vibrant and musical procession. It will kick off from the Panthéon, and over 1,000 costumed performers will march all the way to the Luxembourg Garden to celebrate 1,500 years of Parisian joy, from the origins of Lutèce to its Liberation. (July 16-19) The Joséphine Baker Ball in the spirit of the Roaring Twenties will take place to beautifully wrap up this event. So, are you tempted?
