A historic cinema

Although the idea for Pathé Palace was born in 2017, this place has been dedicated to the 7th art for almost a century! It all started in 1869, under Napoleon III, when the Théâtre du Vaudeville opened its doors with a grand auditorium for 1800 guests. In 1927, it transformed into a fabulous Art Deco cinema called Le Paramount. Later, in 1950 and 1982, the space underwent significant renovations, especially to divide the large hall with 1920 seats into several cozy screening rooms. Then in 2008, Pathé Cinemas acquired this historical establishment, renaming it Gaumont Opéra. After five years of renovations from 2019 to 2024, the Pathé Palace has experienced a true renaissance. It’s a unique venue, “a reasonable folly.”able, a precious setting to welcome all the dreamers of this world, everyone who believes that imagination and emotion triumph over reason », describes Jérôme Seydoux, president of Pathé. So, are you ready to step into History too?
