Paris continues to shine brighter than ever on the international stage. Just like every year since 2015, the Prix Versailles has honored the most beautiful architectural creations around the world, from establishments that opened their doors between January 1, 2024, and July 31, 2025. And here’s the great news: on May 5th, one of the Parisian museums was chosen as part of the 2025 global selection of the “ Most Beautiful Museums in the World ,” alongside six other international cultural institutions.

A museum in the 8th arrondissement among the international selection

It's truly the Grand Palais that has earned this prestigious distinction. It tops the “2025 List of the Most Beautiful Museums in the World.” Born in 1900, it was inspired by Charles Girault. After three years of construction, featuring sculptures, mosaics, and frescoes, it quickly stood out as a true gem of the capital. Adding to its charm is its grand 17,500 square meter glass roof that fills the space with natural light. After being closed for renovations in 2021, it's gradually reopening since 2024 and will be fully open again starting June 2025.

Two American museums also awarded

Along with the Grand Palais, there are six other museums located across the globe that have been selected. These include the Saka Museum in Bali (Indonesia), Audeum in Seoul (South Korea), Kunstsilo in Kristiansand (Norway), Diriyah Art Futures in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), the Cleveland Museum of Natural History in Cleveland (United States), and the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha (United States).

This panel provides us with a remarkable and particularly rare overview of new museum constructions, representing both creative youth and the maturity of

s skills that inspire and enable these works », states Jérôme Gouadain, the Secretary General of the Prix Versailles, regarding the selection in a press release. The 2025 award winners from other categories — hotels, restaurants, airports, emporiums, train stations, and sports — will be gradually revealed between June 2 and November 10.
