Legend has it that she preferred to throw herself from the top of the keep rather than fall into the clutches of the terrible Erard de Montargis, a lord who committed bloody murders. During the period of All Saints' Day, specters would appear around midnight and stroll through the alleys. Howls and chain noises would be heard in the underground passages at night. As for the mad lord, he would be cursed forever for his crimes and his ghost would roam through all the rooms of the castle dressed in a bloody shroud and carrying a dagger, probably to claim more victims.
