A haven of peace and history
It is 65 kilometers west of Paris where you can find this architectural gem, almost entirely troglodytic. Located in the heart of the French Vexin Regional Natural Park, the village reveals incredible fauna and flora. Discover the Domaine de Boileau, a monumental and bucolic building, the troglodytic dovecote, the ancient washhouse, Dr. Gaudichard's house, the nature reserve of the Seine hills, and of course, the magnificent troglodytic church of the Annunciation.

Must-see Monument in Île-de-France
In the village of Haute-Isle, you will find one of the five rare troglodytic churches in France. Carved directly into the cliff and completed in just three years, it has been listed as an additional historical monument since 1926. Its barrel-vaulted nave, which is completely unique, measures 20 meters long, 20 meters wide, and 8 meters high. But what is truly magical is the ever-changing lighting that shifts with the seasons and time of day, thanks to its four small windows carved into the rock. This is a spectacle that is definitely worth a visit.
