In Paris, we’re a bit fond of our cozy spaces. Tiny apartments, crowded and cramped metros, and when the sun shows up, there’s hardly a patch of grass available at the Buttes-Chaumont. We’ve gotten used to it, that’s just how it is, and we make do with the handful of other perks that the capital offers us. And what if we told you that the little Paris isn’t a hopeless situation?
Sunbathing, diving, and swimming outdoors
The Georges-Hermant pool in the 19th district, just behind the Buttes, is a highly popular Olympic-sized pool among athletes. And for good reason, it’s one of the few in the capital that offers a 50-meter pool, plus it’s outdoors so you can soak up the sun! For those who prefer a leisurely breaststroke, there’s a smaller second pool dedicated to free swimming, and a diving area for those who love to jump in.
And you haven’t read it all yet: aquagym, synchronized swimming, diving, swimming with fins, aquatonic… The activities pThe proposed options are super varied, all set in a modern architecture with wide glass windows and a beautiful open structure. You just have to choose, and if you can't decide, go for sunbathing by the pool in the solarium, our favorite pastime. Enjoy your splash!
