Since December 16th last year, it has been fully booked without interruption. Every day, hundreds of visitors are showing up at the cathedral's gates, with or without a reservation. An exceptional turnout, fitting for this historical monument praised by Victor Hugo. A sea of people ready to wait several hours to discover the fabulous renovations achieved in record time.
A tremendous success
And one thing's for sure, the result is impressive. According to the cathedral team, interviewed by Le Parisien, “the feedback has been very positive,” and people are astounded by what they discover once they pass through the huge wooden doors. They find a...for a monument that is clean, bright, and « as if it had been built yesterday », according to testimonies.

Ultimate proof of this success, people linger to admire every corner of the nave or the choir. On average, the cathedral experiences visits lasting 30 minutes, which is 10 minutes longer than before the fire. Many individuals return time and time again to marvel endlessly or to share a moment full of poetry and spirituality with their loved ones. This is the case for Patrick, 61 years old, who has already visited 6 times since the reopening!
Soon to hit one million
The appeal is unwavering, as 29,000 people show up each day, with peak attendance on Thursdays, the day of the nocturnes until 10 PM. Such a crowd, at 32 people per minute, will allow the cathedral to very soon reach one million

On site, about 2/3 of the visitors show up without a reservation, while the rest book through the app — which also offers guided tour programs — already downloaded over 100,000 times since its launch. On this app, between 600 and 1000 time slots are available every half hour, and they disappear in just a few minutes. Notre-Dame is just that amazing!
