The Editor

There are traditions that we just can't miss, and especially this one: in summer, we go for at least one, if not two (or more) open-air movie nights. Because there's clearly nothing like enjoying a great film on the big screen, while soaking in the warm air of a lovely summer evening, once night falls. And the fantastic thing about Paris is that there are plenty of open-air cinemas all throughout the summer season. Here are nine for you to discover, whether you're a seasoned cinephile or not!

Festival des Canotiers in Ménilmontant

The Festival des Canotiers is making its grand return to the capital for its 18th edition. Between concerts and screenings, the event will bring life to the Ménilmontant neighborhood for four wonderful evenings. On the film side...

The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Jim Sharman) will be screened on June 4th. On June 5th, get ready for The Exercise of the State (Pierre Schoeller), and on June 6th, we'll enjoy The Sound of Ice (Bertrand Blier). The festival will wrap up with Rasta Rockett (Jon Turteltaub) on June 7th.

Open-air cinema on the rooftop of Hotel Paradiso

If Hotel Paradiso is already well-known among movie lovers, it’s because as a temple of the seventh art, it kicks off its Sunday open-air cinema, and it has been doing so since its green rooftop, offering a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides and Notre-Dame. After a start to the season dedicated to films from the Cannes Film Festival, starting from mid-June and running until mid-September, things will return to normal: the classic rooftop cinema will resume every Sunday evening, for just 18€ entry, drink included.
