After Ground Control and La Cité Fertile, a new SNCF space is getting a trendy makeover as a third-place venue. This time, we're meeting over at the Petite Ceinture in the 20th arrondissement, in the charming Maison Faitout. 

It's time to settle down on the terrace and sip on all sorts of drinks under the gentle spring sun. Are you looking for a new spot to brighten your day during the beautiful weather? Head over to the 20th arrondissement, where a new third place from the Aurore association has just blossomed in an old SNCF technical building, transformed into a delightful eatery for the biggest appetites in the capital.


New Third Place by Aurore

In a building adorned with tags located along the tracks of the Petite Ceinture, Maison Faitout invites Parisians to unwind and fill their bellies in a space that boasts a serene atmosphere. Officially opening in autumn 2024, this third place backed by the Aurore association is celebrating its very first spring. And it’s just the beginning, as the association has secured a substantial lease lasting until 2037.

The idea behind the project? To focus on sustainable and solidarity-based food in Paris, supporting and showcasing wonderful local and associative initiatives.

On-site, a bar, a restaurant, and a culinary training center allow nearby organizations to showcase their commitments on the vibrant Parisian culinary scene, just like Veni Verdi, Linkee, Extramuros, Plus Loin...

Cozy restaurant, festive bar, and culinary training

On the ground floor of this country house with street art accents, you'll find the famous center for certified training for kitchen assistants, managed by the Aurore association. Anyone looking for a job can register for a 10-month program and get trained in the restaurant industry.

on, alternating theoretical courses, practical work, and internships. The little extra? Some of their creations even make it to the restaurant's menu!

And speaking of the restaurant, it's on the first floor that families and friends from the neighborhood can enjoy a hearty meal, thanks to the team at Passage à niveau, who have already sharpened their knives over at the Ferme du Rail. What's on the menu? A 100% homemade seasonal cuisine cooked over coals, perfect for dining in a relaxed and fresh atmosphere. On the ground floor, you’ll also find a bar, a lush terrace, and a cozy café, serving up some delicious sharing plates in the evenings, featuring classic rillettes, cheeses, and seasonal toasts.
