The famous Parisian palace lives up to its reputation. For Christmas, the Plaza Athénée offers us an avalanche of gifts and surprises. Melted inside a chalet, ice skating, New Year's Eve dinner and incredible Yule log, we'll explain it all.
Braving the cold
To start the festivities, the courtyard of the hotel transforms into a mini ski resort thanks to a wooden chalet that looks more real than ever, attached to a huge 100m2 ice rink (privatized for your dinners, of course). So put on your skates, get some exercise, and after the effort, find comfort. Head inside the chalet to taste a delicious raclette.

Celebrate Christmas properly
And the culinary pleasures don't stop there. The Plaza Athénée also offers other options for the holidays: a brunch, a tea time, a festive dinner at Relais Plaza… and especially a huge New Year's Eve feast imagined by Jean Imbert, with caviar, lobster, truffles, and scallops. But as you can imagine, you will unfortunately have to spend a small fortune to have access (995€ without drinks, 1310 with…). On our side, we'll just dream about the menu.

Enjoying yourself at home
If the spectacular meals imagined by the palace are too expensive for you (which we totally understand), you can always console yourself by bringing a little bit of the palace home! Angelo Musa and Élisabeth Hot, the pastry chefs, have just unveiled the new Christmas log cake for 2023, and we assure you, it's a real gem. A revisited Mont-Blanc with mandarin, shaped like a mountain peak in a ski resort. We especially love the realistic mini cable car. This sweet treat, designed for 8 people and available only by reservation, costs 125€. And considering what we just told you, we almost think it's not that expensive!
