In 2025, there will be those who venture into the Seine for a length or two, and those who will prefer the clear, chlorinated waters of the traditional Parisian pools. And given how 2024 was a hot year, it's not impossible that 2025 will treat us to the same scenario. In other words, we'll need pools to cool off a bit. So it's perfect timing that starting from next September, Belliard Street, located just a stone's throw from the Porte de Clignancourt, will welcome the public to its new pool.

Two pools planned for this new swimming pool
Just a few more months to wait for the construction of the new pool in the 18th to be completed! This building, constructed by the architectural firm Bourgueil & Rouleau , started in September 2023 and is replacing an old parking lot. It covers an area of 3089 m² and will feature two pools: one measuring 25 meters and the other 15 meters.
Porté par la Ville de Paris et la Mairie du 18e, le projet de la piscine Belliard a été entièrement pensé à l'aune de son impact environnemental. Actuellement en construction, nous avons pu visiter son chantier.

An Eco-Built Building
To create this building, the focus has been on bio-sourced materials, especially wood. This pool is designed for everyone, making access easier for people with disabilities and focusing on “learning to swim,” says Nicolas Rouleau, architect of the new establishment at the City of Paris. So, are you ready for the big dive?
