It's back to school, and for some, this fresh start means getting fit. After spending a few weeks lounging on a beach towel or napping to the sound of cicadas, moving our bodies wouldn’t hurt, especially to help energize us between calls and those never-ending meetings at the office.

And the great thing about Paris is that when it comes to sports, we have a ton of options. Boxing, yoga, Pilates, running, cycling, weightlifting… Gyms are popping up like mushrooms on every street corner in the capital. The good news? Some are more accessible than others, especially the new Dunois sports hall in the 13th, an indoor sports facility welcoming everyone who wants to reconnect with team sports.

A brand-new venue for all team sports

Located in the place of an old sports field (which was under construction for months), the new Dunois sports hall has officially been in...scheduled for September 6, 2025, at 59 rue Dunois in the 13th. The latest pride of the district mayor, Jérôme Coumet, who happily makes the rounds with the owner. So what’s on the agenda? A covered multisport field – the size of a handball court – dressed in all orange and wood, featuring futsal and handball goals, six basketball hoops, as well as badminton and volleyball nets available. In short, team sports are in the spotlight.

Free slots to unleash your energy as a team

The mayor of the 13th district also explains that this new hot spot for sports has been redesigned to welcome us before, during, and after our sweaty sessions, complete with changing rooms and restrooms. But more importantly, Jérôme Coumet shares that the hall, open to the public from mid-September, will offer not only school and senior time slots but also free play slots for everyone, all supervised by local associations. It's just the motivation we need to form a great little team and head on over to let off some steam with well-placed balls!
