Here’s a new addition that’s going to bring a breath of fresh air to the 18th! On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, a new social and cultural complex spanning 1,500 m2, named CiNey, opened its doors on Boulevard Ney. This project, led by director Joëlle Loncol, the La Sierra Prod association, along with the local residents, combines cinema, dining, and even a performance hall!

Affordable Cinema
Two screening rooms with 85 and 89 seats are now welcoming the eager public to discover the latest movies released in theaters. Until now, local residents had lamented the lack of cultural activities and the absence of a venue like this. Here, tickets range from 4 to 9 euros, which is a much lower rate than many Parisian cinemas. A suspended ticket system also allows for the purchase of an extra ticket, intended for the most vulnerable audiences. Sneak peeks and meetings with directors will be on the agenda in the coming months.
Restaurant, bar, grocery... A Very Comprehensive Venue
Yes to cinema, but also to gastronomy. CiNey welcomes Table de Cana, a committed and accessible restaurant, open every lunchtime, as well as Friday and Saturday evenings. Its golden rule? Anti-waste! It complements the bar and the small food options (popcorn, snacks...).
A grocery store also allows you to do some shopping, especially seasonal fruits and vegetables, and bulk foods at reduced prices to help everyone enjoy a healthy diet. On its side, La Cocotte is a shared kitchen accessible to families staying in social hotels in the 18th district.

Helping the Young Build Their Future
Integration is another priority for this establishment. The goal is to assist young people aged 16 to 25 in their social and professional integration. Counselors from the Local Mission are available to support them. “A young person can meet with a counselor before grabbing a drink at the bar, doing some shopping at the grocery store, and then buying a movie ticket,” explains Nora Suddoo, director of CiNey.
