A big procession planned in the 18th
Just like every year, the Ganesh festival will be taking over the streets of Paris. The highlight will be a big procession featuring musicians, dancers, and of course, the floats, including those of Ganesh, Muruga (Ganesh’s brother), and the goddess Durga. Along the route, altars will be set up as well. The coconut plays a key role in this celebration: while the outer shell symbolizes human ego, the white interior represents the pure soul. By breaking this fruit, we free ourselves from our ego and offer our pure heart to Ganesh.

This parade will take place with great respect for traditions. Costumes and fresh flowers will enhance the entire procession, which everyone can attend. It will start from the Temple of Sri Manicka Vinayakar Alayam around 10:30 AM, crossing through the Max Dormoy neighborhood, and will head to La Chapelle.
