Dust off your armor, forget about 2026, and embark on a journey through time, heading to the Middle Ages. On Sunday, September 13th, the town of Longjumeau, just a few kilometers from Paris, is organizing the 17th edition of its medieval festival. The festivities kick off at 10 a.m. at the Bois des Templiers — a natural space spanning 35,000 m2 — for a day filled with wonder and celebration.

A tradition kept alive year after year
It's a tradition that Longjumeau would never dream of breaking. Long organized by the ALBG association, the Medieval Festivities are now driven forward by the town hall and several local associations.
What's on the agenda? An immersion in an authentic medieval village set to the rhythm of horses' hooves, clashing swords, and music performed by troubadours.

Celebrating timeless craftsmanship and traditions
Get ready to meet knights, princesses, peasants and mystical creatures — and feel free to don the costume of your choice. Throughout the village, artisans will showcase their unique skills and crafts, while a falconry show, The Wings of Urga, takes center stage to reveal the magnificent flight of birds of prey. For even greater immersion, the show The Oath of the Templars will blend breathtaking stunts, combat and traditional equestrian games.
And since Longjumeau holds the label of Honey Town, a jar of local honey will be given with each paid ticket purchased. So, are you tempted?
