An eco-friendly Christmas market with great prices organized by the Crous of Paris

For the first time in its history, the Crous de Paris is creating the Amazing Christmas Market, an eco-friendly event designed for students and the general public, perfect for finding budget-friendly gifts. It’s happening at the Cîteaux space from December 12 to 14. 

The Greater Paris metropolis (MGP) isn't spared from poverty. The latest study by the Paris Urban Planning Workshop (Apur) in collaboration with Insee is quite alarming: in 2021, it showed that at least 1.2 million people lived below the monetary poverty line in Paris and its surrounding municipalities. The holiday season can therefore be a real source of anxiety for those facing financial insecurity. 

It's important to note that in the capital, finding affordable gifts to wrap up the month without going into the red can feel like an impossible task. Luckily, there are solidarity initiatives that help hunt down beautiful items at low prices so you can approach Christmas without stress, and the Crous of Paris stands out as a perfect example with its first Christmas market!coresponsible. 


Gifts, yes, but eco-friendly!  

To take advantage of this great deal, head over to the Côteaux space. Located in the 12th, this Crous residence often hosts various cultural events and is welcoming a multitude of booths until Saturday, December 14th, where you can find beautiful treasures.

Solidarity and ecology are at the heart of the project: most of the items sold are recycled, which not only benefits the environment but also helps lower prices.  

The best part of all this? You don’t even have to spend a dime! Creative souls are invited to express themselves at the DIY space, where workshops allow everyone to bring their own decorations and objects to life. And because a Christmas market wouldn’t be complete without a wonderful food selection, you can also enjoy some delightful winter treats (and healthy, of course).

Three Evenings Reserved for Students 

While the Christmas market is open to the public during the day, the Cîteaux space closes its doors at 6 PM, as the evenings at the residence are exclusively for students. On the agenda: shows and festive activities that blend the magic of the holidays with ecological commitment. Don’t forget to bring your student ID with you!
