Every year, European Best Destinations, a platform specializing in the selection of all kinds of tourist destinations, from ski resorts to Christmas markets and gorgeous paradise lagoons, unveils its ranking of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. The coasts of the Old Continent are all breathtaking in their own way, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Baltic Sea and the Mediterranean to the Black Sea, so it's no wonder the selection process must have been tough. But one of them stood out from the rest! And the good news is, it's just a short 3-hour flight from the capital!

Just like in Mamma Mia

At the top of the podium for 2025 is the lagoon of Port Glarokavos. This stunning destination is located in the north of Greece, within the region of ...

Chalcidique (and more specifically on the Kassandra Peninsula) is where this little slice of paradise is located. Here, you’ll find a typically Mediterranean landscape that brings to mind the setting of one of our favorite movies, Mamma Mia. With its turquoise blue sea, fine sand that sparkles in the sun, and sparse greenery in deep green hues, it’s easy to see why the place enchanted the jury members. Visitors can enjoy sunbathing areas and also explore various activities, like paddle or kayaking.

Southern Europe Shines Bright

In the second spot on the podium, we have Cala Brandinchi in Sardinia. It's a paradise beach often referred to as « Little Tahiti », thanks to its crystal-clear waters and fine sand. Finally, to complete the top trio, we have Cala Pregonda in Menorca, Spain, Spain. A little different from the first two, this beach stands out with its ochre-colored sands, which take on reddish hues throughout the day. Overall, Greece, Italy, and Spain dominate the rankings as 8 out of the 10 awarded beaches are located there, and we can’t help but feel a little sad about France’s absence. But...Well, at least we know we have everything we need to enjoy some nice little vacations without traveling to the other end of the world. In the meantime, we’ll leave you with the top 10 :
