K-Pop fans and lovers of all things Korean: this May, the festival celebrates the Land of the Morning Calm with culture, flavors, and tradition. I’m talking about the K-Plus Festival, a completely free event returning for its third edition, organized by the Misikga grocery store (in partnership with the 13th arrondissement town hall) at the heart of Paris City Open University. With conferences, workshops, exhibitions, performances, and a traditional market, you'll soon know all the secrets of Korean culture!

A Dive into Korean Culture

On May 16 and 17, we’re off to discover Korea and its must-sees, from food to beauty, and from culture to performing arts. It’s two whole days to soak up Korean culture, blending tradition and modernity. To do this, the festival offers visitors a variety of conferences on key themes like K-Pop and K-Dramas, hosted by specialists and pros.

The festival also invites everyone to get hands-on with a series of workshops that will satisfy all tastes and desires. You'll have the chance to try your hand at calligraphy and even learn the Korean language, sing your heart out at some classic karaoke sessions typical of the country, show off your best dance moves to K-Pop tunes in the Random Dance space led by Clyde Williams, and also unleash the artist within you with maedup and bojagi workshops, the art of knotting and Korean patchwork.

A traditional Korean market at the heart of the festival

In addition to its many activities, the K-Plus Festival offers you a true immersion in traditional Korean culture with its Jingteo, a space inspired by Korean markets featuring a variety of exhibitors.

iddot;s, most of whom have directly come from Korea. Together, they invite you to discover different aspects of their culture: skincare, traditional outfits (like the Hanbok), and artisanal grocery products… All topped off with a wide selection of K-Food and drinks made with authentic local ingredients.

The cherry on top? Throughout the festival, you'll have the chance to dive into a huge circuit of traditional Korean games, giving you the opportunity to try your luck in a very special contest. During the 5th game, join the raffle for a chance to win a plane ticket to South Korea. Who knows, you might be the lucky one chosen for this dream trip!
