Are you searching for a fun outdoor activity for this upcoming long Ascension weekend? Well, how about taking a ride on steam trains to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Chanteraines Railway Association!

We all know the song: the Ascension weekend is absolutely fantastic for the long break it allows us to take, but impossible to afford a little trip abroad without breaking the bank... Parisians, the good news is that you don't need to go far to enjoy a refreshing getaway and a unique adventure! Save the date from May 9th to 12th to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Railway Association of Chanteraines in Villeneuve-la-Garenne.


Walks, entertainment, exhibitions

Passionate about trains or just a fan of beautiful discoveries, this is the event not to be missed this week. And with the multitude of public holidays and long weekends, you have no excuse! For four days, members of the association are mobilizing to share their knowledge and passion with you. The program includes entertainment and guided tours of the depot, discovering and preparing rolling stock, modeling exhibitions, and of course, a bar for food and drinks. The highlight of the event: train rides in the Chanteraines departmental park aboard historic steam locomotives. For this unique occasion, the association will also welcome the Frankfurter Feldbahnmuseum


Preserve locomotives and railways

Created in 1984, the Chemin de Fer des Chanteraines association has been ensuring the maintenance and repair of locomotives and the good condition of railways for 40 years. It provides access to steam trains on the second Sunday of each month and to the miniature circuit on the. xièmes et quatrièmes dimanches du mois. An unusual activity to enjoy with friends or with family.
