Feeling like a little trip to the land of the Rising Sun? This autumn, the Aïkido Pantin martial arts club is bringing Japan to us with the 3rd edition of its Japanese festival in Pantin. Join us on November 15th and 16th at the Maurice Baquet gymnasium for two days of immersion in Japanese culture, filled with food, creative workshops, and amazing demonstrations!

Two Days of Japanese Culture in the Heart of Pantin

Get ready for the journey, because in November, the Maurice Baquet gym in Pantin will transform into a genuine little Japan. During this festival, you can enjoy a series of exciting activities, ranging from aikido to sumo, and even calligraphy. Plus, there will be fun competitions like the manga drawing contest (for kids aged 7 to 16) and a Super Smash Bros tournament on Nintendo Switch!

Prepare for a true Japanese immersion, which will also include conferences on topics like tea, a traditional gem of the island nation, as well as a delicious dining area filled with tasty options.

where we can indulge in famous onigiris and Japanese pastries. And to make the journey even better, the festival will also treat us to a discovery of the current music scene in Japan with a concert by the singer Naotan City Pop

Discovering Martial Arts

Along with bringing us the very best of Japanese culture in just two days, the Japanese festival in Pantin also promises to amaze us with its Night of Martial Arts. On Saturday evening, from 8 PM to 11 PM, a grand showcase takes over the venue with nearly three hours of spectacular demonstrations, featuring the finest disciplines of martial arts. From aikido to judo, and including karate, boxing, capoeira, taekwondo, sumo, and even lightsaber dueling, clubs and experts from Île-de-France are ready to reveal their talents in a gala atmosphere. An evening you won't want to miss, to discover all the beauty (and richness) of martial arts.
