Let's clarify right away: no, it's never too early to talk about Christmas, and yes, all it took was a simple day under 15 degrees for us to dream once again about this magical time. So we're gearing up for everything, and among the magical markets that contribute to the festive frenzy, we found a little gem that will delight both bargain hunters and fans of the Land of the Rising Sun. Join us at the Bastille Design Center from November 21 to 23, to enjoy Idées Japon 2025.
60 exhibitors for 100% Japanese shopping
Every year, Christmas poses a real challenge for some. Snagging affordable train tickets, finding a New Year’s Eve menu that caters to everyone’s specific diets, or even buying gifts.Get your gifts on time without breaking the bank! Luckily for you, just like with candy, we love to make your life as easy as possible. We’ve found you a fantastic plan: a Japanese Christmas market just a month before the holidays, where you can uncover a variety of hidden gems. On the agenda, in 670 m², you'll get to discover the work of around sixty artisans specializing in their crafts. You’ll find gastronomy and tableware in the basement, decor, fashion, and stationery on the ground floor, and art and crafts on the upper level.

An undeniable good deal
On top of that, all weekend long, artists will be there to run no less than 19 diverse workshops. Kintsugi (the art of mending with gold dust), tsumami zaiku (the refined art of fabric folding), and tenkoku (traditional engraving art) will be taught by professionals, allowing you to learn more about Japan's ancient practices. Additionally, there will be 12 conferences featuring specialists from the Land of the Rising Sun to spice up the weekend's festivities. And to top it all off, access to these delights is 100% free, including the conferences. The workshops, however, are paid and require reservation, but it's totally worth it!
