Attention to our dear, passionate cyclists! What if we told you that it's possible to reach the Norwegian fjords by pedaling on your trusty bicycle? Allow us to introduce you to the EuroVelo 3, a route connecting Norway to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. The good news? It passes (of course) through Paris!
Let’s embrace the Scandiberique!
The EuroVelo 3 features no less than 7 stages in Norway, 13 in Germany, and 17 in Denmark. In short, it stretches over 5,400 km crossing 7 countries in total, including France. The French section is named the Scandiberique, and it’s the largest cycling route in France. It winds through Picardie, Île-de-France, Touraine, the Charentes, the vineyards of Bordeaux, the Landes, and the Basque Country. Inaugurated in June 2018, the 1,700 km route – with 95% of its path fully developed – is primarily set up on shared paths.
: 23% on bike paths and 72% on low-traffic small roads. And for good reason : EuroVélo 3 largely follows the route of the old pilgrimage path of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, making it a journey rich in cultural and religious heritage, dotted with cathedrals, abbeys, and villages steeped in history.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
