For its summer programming, the Grand Palais has decided to ride the wave of the France-Brazil cultural season and to celebrate this country in every possible way. After hosting an abundance of exhibitions honoring contemporary Brazilian artists (including some that are free!), this weekend, the Parisian institution is going all out, moving into fiesta mode. The highlights include a huge ball on Saturday, and especially a real carnival on Sunday!
To the Rhythm of the Tropics
It’s within the scope of the France-Brazil 2025 season that the Grand Palais and the City of Paris have come together to create this one-of-a-kind parade, for the Tropical Carnival 2025. On the Champs-Élysées and Winston-Churchill Avenue, hundreds of Caribbean carnival participants will come together...
Utes and Brazilians will meet up with their music, festive dances, and colorful costumes for a unique parade like no other and an instant journey to South America.Le carnaval tropical de Paris sur les Champs-Élysées. Début du direct dans 1h sur https://t.co/365c2yrVTy pic.twitter.com/0yEi8EXd4B

For 7 hours, enjoy a dazzling parade that will surely bring a breath of fresh air to the City of Light. A breathtaking show that might just warm up the Parisian pavement a little more. Artists from the Antilles, Guyana, all over the Caribbean, Latin America, and of course from Brazil will delight you throughout the parade, culminating in a spectacular finale between the Grand and Petit Palais.
A Season of Greatness
To kick off this extraordinary journey, join us the day before to take part in the grand Brazilian ball organized for free by the Grand Palais. On the agenda: this vibrant atmosphere... te;tillante and lively that Brazil keeps a secret. Of course, dancing will be in the spotlight throughout the evening, with typical Brazilian music. The organization has also invited Gabriel Haddad Gomes Porto and Leonardo Bora, two well-known figures from the Rio Carnival, who will be joined by their troupe of dancers.

And to extend the pleasure, we can enjoy two free exhibitions also offered by the institution. Our favorite? The monumental installation by Ernesto Neto, Nosso Barco Tambor Terra. This gigantic structure made of interwoven threads immerses us in a unique universe. So we don’t hesitate to take off our shoes, stroll through this magical forest of wood shavings, and let all the percussion resonate around us as much as we like.
