Attention, ladies and gentlemen, the most famous train in the world is about to pull into the station, please step away from the edge of the platform. In just a few days, on September 20th and 21st, a train of the Orient Express will be stationed on the tracks of the Austerlitz station, offering you legendary visits that are 100% free (but be careful, reservation is mandatory!). We’ll tell you everything about this event that will delight both train enthusiasts and Agatha Christie fans.


All aboard!

For 2 days, during the European Heritage Days (JEP), you’ll have the chance to climb aboard the cars of the Orient Express, and not just any cars! Indeed, we’re talking about the Pullman Orient-Express.

ng>, the most luxurious of all, built between 1925 and 1929. Composed of 7 cars, of which 4 are classified as historical monuments, it is a true Art Deco jewel, refined in every detail.

« North Star », « Riviera », « Anatolia »: these evocatively named train cars, easily recognizable by their blue and cream colors, will be presented to the public for the first time since 2022. It's a significant event, during which you'll also have the chance to experience the nocturnal atmosphere of long-distance travel, as evening visits will be available too.


A Little History

Just a reminder, the Orient Express was inaugurated on October 4, 1883, during a journey starting from Paris to Constantinople. It experienced its golden age in the 1920s, a time when it transitioned from teak cars to metal cars.

, including the famous Pullmans. During this time, diplomats, artists, aristocrats, and spies mingled together, embodying a certain idea of travel, defined by elegance and luxury, French style of course. And the good news is, if you want to join the journey, reservations are already open!
