Did you know? June 14th is International Cucumber Day! To celebrate, Cadet Street in the 9th arrondissement transforms for a week and offers you an exclusive program that you can enjoy from June 12th to 19th.

Why settle for just one day when you can celebrate cucumbers for a whole week? From June 12 to 19, Rue Cadet in the 9th arrondissement transforms and invites you to a series of events and activities centered around this well-known vegetable. For one week, cucumbers and roses take over the sidewalks, creating a most unusual springtime gathering. The Cucumber Week For 7 days, a veritable sky of vegetation will cover Rue Cadet. In the heart of this green oasis, immerse yourself in a world of roses and cucumbers. It may seem like an unexpected pairing, but it works wonders. This is the perfect opportunity for the entire street to go green, offering numerous surprising and unique activities.

From June 12 to June 19, the whole street is joining in on the fun, as many merchants will be getting into the spring spirit by offering you dishes and drinks made with cucumber.

At Hôtel Fantaisie, Petit Cadet, and even at Monsieur Cadet, discover creative cocktails that highlight cucumber and Hendrick’s gin. Did you know that Hendrick's is the only gin infused with rose and cucumber?

At Petit Piano, you'll find 4 new dishes and 3 cocktails waiting for you. Lou Pitchoun, in addition to revamping their decor, offers a full cucumber menu with appetizer, main course, and dessert. Over at Nook, you can enjoy an appetizer along with a non-alcoholic cocktail. Funky Ba is preparing a delicious cucumber dish. And Monsieur Cadet will offer you some sweet treats with a touch of cucumber.

Even at Verger Cadet, at Soul and Spirit of Wine and at Verger's Florist, respectively the greengrocer, wine merchant, and florist of Cadet street, they join in the fun, just to extend the experience a bit! A truly original event, you will agree, that will delight all cucumber lovers, and, more generally, all those fortunate enough to pass by!


Exclusive activities for World Cucumber Day

For even more pleasure, on June 14th, the date of International Cucumber Day, Cadet street will take on the appearance of a Victorian cabaret, to reveal all the secrets of the cucumber to you, with street theater.

A photographer, accompanied by his vintage camera, will take your portrait at the Hotel de la Fantaisie, you can attend cocktail workshops with Hendrick's gin at the Little Cadet, and a fortune teller.Tonight will be the perfect time for you to have your fortune read at Mr. Cadet's. Finally, forget about the traditional vanilla ice cream, on the 13th and 14th of June, the first day on Montorgueil street, and then on Cadet street, there will be distributions of sorbets... cucumber flavored, of course!
