For those who might not know yet, Provins is an absolutely incredible medieval town located less than an hour and a half from the capital, offering us every year all kinds of activities to travel through time. After its Christmas celebrations, its medieval festival, or its candlelit summer evenings, the town invites us this time to join in a day of festivities around the harvest.
All kinds of entertainment
For this 52nd edition, mark your calendars for Sunday, August 24th, when the city of Provins welcomes you to a day like no other. On the agenda, you'll find parades of tractors and vintage vehicles, a session of old-fashioned wheat threshing, traditional music, and a ...
incredible XXL parade made up of floats decorated with straw and locals in traditional costumes, for a magical moment, far away from the urban vibe of the capital.Check out this post on Instagram
Little ones and grown-ups will also enjoy regional products, play with the farm animals found all around, enjoy exhibitions, or visit local artisan stands. The youngest can even join in a baptism...Children will have fun with tractors while adults admire the collection of about forty classic cars.
A water-themed edition
This year, water will be in the spotlight throughout the day. It's a perfect opportunity to discover the exhibition currently on display until August 24 at the Savigny hotel, showcasing the history of water in the city. Staying on theme, Brittany will also be highlighted during the festivities, thanks to the exceptional presence of the Sonerien Lann-Bihoué, former musicians of the bagad from the French Navy, who will delight you with the sounds of bagpipes.
