Indeed, this year 2026 is truly all about magic. Just a few weeks ago, the first trailer for the Harry Potter series was revealed, also announcing a release around next Christmas. And now, a fantastic, Hogwarts-style event has just been announced on the roads of France and Navarre: the Butterbeer Season. On the agenda is a truck that will travel across the country, filled with ice creams that capture the flavor of this beloved drink of young wizards.
A magical day
This is a must-visit place for fans of The Leaky Cauldron, The Three Broomsticks, and The Hog's Head, and soon in the Paris region. The Butterbeer is celebrating in Massy, just 25 minutes by RER from the capital for a unique day, on May 31st, to tickle our taste buds and offer us a one-of-a-kind culinary dive into the world of Harry Potter. And one thing's for sure, the schedule looks packed. Not only will you be able to enjoy vanilla ice cream drizzled with butterbeer sauce, but you can also take advantage of a magical photobooth, surprise animations, and activities centered around reading and board games. And we're not going to lie, it's undoubtedly the side attractions that interest us the most, because we have a bit of trouble understanding the passion of Harry, Ron, or Hermione for this drink.

A Tour Across France
On May 31, we’ll wrap up an amazing tour that kicks off on May 8 and 9 in Rouen, and will take us through Saint-Saturnin, Cognac, Tarbes, Ajaccio, Morteau, Besançon, Strasbourg, and Bondues. And great news, each of these places will be completely free to visit! Even better, if the RER isn’t your thing or if you just can’t wait until the end of May, you can also pop into one of the Au Bureau restaurants — the closest one is in Boulogne — where they’ll be serving delicious creations inspired by the drink, like a stunning butterbeer cheesecake.
