Halloween is almost here, and it's high time to think about your costume. While some will go for classic little devils or wizards, others are pulling out all the stops for a real journey through time. That's exactly what's happening at the Hôtel de la Marine, a historic building on Place de la Concorde, which for the spookiest evening of the year is traveling through the centuries with the Ball of Ghosts.

A period ball in a Parisian institution

On Friday, October 30th, 2026, the eve of Halloween, the Hôtel de la Marine brings the ghosts of its past back to life. To do this, the venue invites members of the Carnet de Bals association, specialists in recreating historic balls, to imagine the perfect setting. Their mission? To immerse us in the history of this Parisian landmark and in the magical atmosphere of receptions from years gone by,

to relive the centuries gone by with waltzes, quadrilles, polkas, minuets… and a hint of spooky fun!

Let's dance!

In the main courtyard of the building, entry will be free and open to all throughout the evening with demonstrations and interactive dance performances. This means you can simply enjoy the show, but also hit the dance floor to join in yourself

soak up the joyful (and somewhat spooky Halloween) atmosphere of a historic ball. Everyone can let themselves be swept away waltzing alongside the ghosts of the Hôtel de la Marine. On the grand salon side, we'll keep our eyes wide open to witness refined dance demonstrations in a truly sumptuous setting. Worth noting: you'll need a ticket for this experience! So, ready to hit the dance floor?
